Levonne Grier, CPA, CMA, brings over 14 years of comprehensive financial leadership experience spanning diverse sectors, including construction, oil and gas, waste management, restaurants and industrial manufacturing. Her professional journey encompasses roles within both publicly traded and privately held enterprises, cultivating a rich reservoir of knowledge and expertise.
Levonne's professional ethos is grounded in the establishment of robust financial planning and analysis frameworks within organizations. Her aim is to furnish business leaders with a financial vision and the assurance of a clear trajectory for their enterprises, while also identifying avenues for enhancement. Leveraging her extensive network cultivated over years of engagement, she adeptly liaises with strategic partners to secure optimal banking, insurance, legal, and accounting services tailored to specific business imperatives. Driven by a commitment to maximize returns on investment, she integrates quantitative and qualitative metrics, harnessing the synergies of personnel, processes, and technology to optimize operational efficiency.
In addition to her proficiency in financial analytics and strategy formulation, Levonne possesses a track record of proficiency in diverse areas, including ERP implementation, financial modeling for M&A transactions, business case development, debt financing, and M&A due diligence. Her repertoire extends to financial board presentations, strategic planning, investment analysis, risk assessment and mitigation, financial governance, and internal controls. Her prior roles include serving as Chief Financial Officer at Waste Logic Inc., Vice President of Finance & Administration at RHK Hydraulic Cylinder Services, and Manager of Financial Reporting & Tax and previously Assistant Corporate Controller at North American Construction Group Ltd.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Levonne is actively engaged in the financial community, serving as President of the Edmonton Chapter of Financial Executives International, where she offers strategic leadership and direction. She has been an esteemed mentor within the CPA program since 2017 and actively contributes to the CPA volunteer tax clinic since 2020. Levonne has also held other positions such as Treasurer of Shadow Theatre from 2020 to 2023 and Secretary of the Terwillegar Homeowners Association from 2017 to 2018. Her impactful contributions to both professional and community spheres were recognized with the 2022 Early Achievement Award presented by CPA Alberta.
