Michael (Mike) Zvonkovic brings 20+ years of experience in various finance roles and continually advanced in responsibilities and positions throughout his career.
Mike began his career in 2002 with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Edmonton where he gained experience in assurance, audit and taxation. Following this he joined a local financial services company as the controller in 2004, where through several promotions then became the VP finance in 2007. He was responsible for assisting the company on being listed on the TSX and NYSE. In addition to numerous acquisitions, Mike also managed public company compliance, reporting, banking and treasury management. In 2012 Mike became the Chief Financial Officer and EVP of a privately held foreign exchange company with operations spanning throughout Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand and the USA. In 2017 Mike was the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary for Vertex Resource Group Ltd., a publicly traded company listed on the TSX-V. At Vertex, Mike was responsible for financial management, investor and analyst relations, financial planning, corporate development (banking, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, internal controls, accounting, risk management, administration, HR and IT), acquisitions and much more. The last few years Mike was working with Tier 1 Energy Services LLC as their CFO and helped them through one of the worst down turns in oil and gas history. More recently Mike was the CFO of the Pagnotta Group of companies.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Chartered Accountant. Mike spends most of his spare time with his young family and when he can, be an active hockey and soccer player.
